Oblon immediately saw the potential in SkyHawke’s innovative products and was impressed by the company's determination to produce the best and most accurate rangefinder in golf. While developing their platform rangefinder SkyCaddie®, SkyHawke’s team painstakingly surveyed over 35,000 golf courses worldwide, making their maps and GPS rangefinders the most accurate available. Naturally, SkyHawke’s innovations were deserving of proactive IP counsel who would stand by their side and help guide the company through the challenges of the marketplace.

Although SkyHawke initially sought out Oblon to assist with trademark protection, the relationship quickly evolved into a critical business partnership. Oblon now manages the entire SkyHawke IP portfolio, including patent and trademark protection, and has represented the company in many district court litigations as well as proceedings before the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including reexamination and inter partes review proceedings. Oblon has also represented SkyHawke’s interests in licensing and due diligence projects.
