In 1990, the firm’s name changed to Oblon Spivak, McClelland, Maier and Neustadt. The firm continued to grow throughout the 1990s. The 2000s presented new opportunities and challenges. The founders prepared to leave the management of the firm to start a transition to the next generation of partners. By 2009, the last founding partner retired from management.
