Environmental Sustainability Program

Our firm promotes environmentally sustainable practices by participating in building, city, and state recycling and energy conservation programs and by encouraging its employees to do the same.  We encourage our employees to consider alternative commuting methods—in part by providing transportation benefits such as Washington Metro SMARTRIP® cards and VRE rail passes at a discounted rate.

Importantly, Oblon’s office building has been certified at the "Gold" level under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) since October 2014.  We have also received an ENERGY STAR® certification every year since 2009.  Our building management and facilities team are always working with firm management to ensure that the firm is proactive in terms of reducing waste and energy use, encouraging recycling and reuse programs, and in communicating the importance of these topics to our employees and guests.
