Dr. Koschmieder offers clients a valuable combination of legal, business and scientific experience. His extensive knowledge of the Japanese market and his focus on chemical and microelectronics industries will help to bolster Oblon’s presence and growth in IP markets across the region. Oblon’s Tokyo-based attorneys provide a full range of Intellectual Property services including litigation, opinions and counseling, patent prosecution, and post-grant proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Stefan Koschmieder, Ph. D., is a partner in the firm's Chemical Patent Prosecution group with expertise in organometallic chemistry, catalysis, polyolefin polymers, polycarbonate plastics, polymer additives, petroleum recovery and refining, and microelectronics manufacturing processes. He holds a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, an M.B.A. from the University of Houston, and his Ph.D and B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin.
