A technical background is required in the areas of inorganic chemistry; organic chemistry; or chemical engineering. Industrial experience is a plus. A Master’s or Doctorate in the relevant field is preferred. Candidates must possess superior technical knowledge, writing and communication skills. Responsibilities include analysis and preparation of replies to office actions; invention and disclosure meetings/calls with clients; preparation and prosecution of new patent applications; counseling clients on patent related matters and portfolio analysis; agreements and related transactions; and appeals; and assistance with review and training of junior chemical patent practice professionals.
